On day 1 we were humans and we interacted with the environment. We arrived at Cardigan on a bus. It along with the roads it drove on were added on to the environment. The environment does change the roads though restricting their path options and creating frost heaves. After we brought our bags into the lodge, another thing added to the environment, we took a one mile hike to visit welton falls. On our way there we stopped to sketch what felt like a million times. Some of the things we sketched included stumps, leaves, and trees which are all part of the environment. When a couple of us and our chaperone got tired we decided to stop for a snack. We sat on a ledge overlooking the river (stream) and ate some spicy trail mix. A couple pieces were dropped on the ground and left for the nearby birds. When we reached the falls there was a guardrail that humans had put in so nobody would slip and fall on the slick and sometimes wet rocks. Marks were also left in small ways when we were exploring on the rocks by the fall. Bits of moss would fall off the rocks without us even noticing as we tried to climb them.We depended on the environment every time somebody had to go to the bathroom. The trees provided privacy. We also depended on the weather that it would not snow because we did not have the gear for it. When making the trails humans had to adapt because they had to go around the boulder or make a bridge to get over the water. They also had to avoid cliffs and drops. It would of been bad if the trail went straight off the ledge.
